I am researching for a paper for english, my topic is ending hunger in America, and your website really helped enlighten me! You cover topics that are generally read over, and that gives helpful support. I give youg reat credit, because nowadays most of the solutions to hunger have been said already, so great job coming up with a new one that helps! you know your stuff, and sound like you’re out to educate, rather than confront and say your idea is the best. under all the negative remarks, there is a realization that hunger has gone unsolved too long, so the remarks must be a coping mechanism for the epiphany [:

Wow, how strange… people here are doing something to help the hungry, and for some reason there are a bunch of trolls who feel the need to attack them? For what? For not doing enough, or for not ending hunger, or for focusing on hunger in the US? That is really pathetic.

Here’s how it works. These guys did something (dressed up as a mascot and went to an iPhone line and ended up in a video that was picked up by Boing Boing) that got this Web site some hits. One of those hits was mine. I read the material, thought about it, and sent $100 to America’s Second Harvest.

Now, because of Hungrr, America’s Second Harvest has $100 that they would not have otherwise had. What’s wrong with that? Not sure I see the problem…

So many people never understand performance art. Oh well, so many people do. If you guys are paying taxes, helping at homeless shelters, getting things done, donating money and raising awareness in a fun way more power to ya! Someday I hope that people will see the way to end poverty is by themselves taking action to help those less fortunate and rally against their governments for things like a lot of the ideals and proposals by Bucky Fuller. Hunger is a serious issue and so many times laughter is the best medicine or at least instigator to getting things done.

I haven’t looked too much into to what you’re doing, but from what I’ve seen, I approve. So few people are aware of the poverty many Americans face, but you’re bringing it into awareness. It seems as though you cover the bases that are typically neglected, such as advocacy and sustainability. I’m also glad to see that you not only press on despite criticism, but also reply to that criticism reasonably and without confrontation. You’re doing a great thing here, and doing it well. I wish you the best.

Why don’t you read some of the entries in this blog? Maybe you will be educated to the issue.
The issue of hunger in America is not one of starvation or famine that exists throughout the world.
According to the just release report by the USDA, there are 35 million Americans in need of food assistance.
Many children are malnourished.

end hunger? wtf how about end obesity?
this is hardly even an issue in america, why not go worry about the millions actually starving in third-world countries?
what we need in america is less food, not more.
and cut the randomass cartoon crap. It’s a juxtaposition, the random orange attention-getter thing trying to lightheartedly speak about the morbid subject of starvation and malnutrition. Self-defeating. But so is your whole campaign in the first place. Find something else to support. This is just bull$@# protesting.
i really just don’t see how that puts food in starving people’s mouths.

i think that you guys are accomplishing something. i never even knew about this program until i saw your commericial on youtube&& and it motivated me to start doing some volunteer work here in MS too. so, great job and keep up the awesome work

LOL sweeet , I like the kostume , but i dnt really kare about the hungry amerikans. They can solve their problems themselves going 2 shelters or geting a job, the people that are in real hunger are those in 3rd world countries. u guys should worry more about them and try helping them cuz theyre the ones that have no way of solving their problems.

Just what are you accomplishing? Having fun, I guess. “End hunger.” Good idea, but what I see from the video is nothing but a waste of time. Bag your costume, your signs and cute chants, and go buy some food. Deliver it to the homeless on the street in NYC. Get some names of people. Follow up with them and be their family support system to help them. Or, volunteer to do the boring, unglamorous work of monitoring at a homeless shelter — that’s what I’ve done. That would be doing something instead of pointless performance art.
